[+] 1.0 - Signing In and Out
1.0 - Signing In and Out
Post in whether you're signing in or signing out, including your XBL gamertag, which game and City(only the first time is required if Jonny Brown or I don't know where you're from) you're signing in/out for. eg.
DSilv3R - Signing in - AE, SFXT
DSilv3R - Signing out AE (will remain signed in on SFXT)
Dsilv3R - Signing out (will be signed out of both games)

  • 1.1 - Sign In - Once you have signed in for a particular game, you'll remain Signed In and given matches until you Sign Out. You will only be automatically Signed Out after it is found, that you failed to complete a scheduled match.
  • 1.2 - Sign Out - When you Sign Out, it will take affect the following week not immediately. So, if you are Signed In and decide to Sign Out once you've been assigned a match, you must complete that match for that week but will be Signed Out the following week for the remainder of the season the until you Sign In again.

[+] 2.0 - All Leagues are main and secondary character locked - UMVC3 excluded
2.1 - All Leagues will be character/team locked, with the option for a secondary character/team which will also be locked for the entire season.
    • When you sign up for the season, you must pick your main and secondary characters. These can not be altered once you have been assigned your first match of the season. Which means, you can not add a secondary if started without one nor can you reassign characters, for example changing your secondary for it to become your main for the season.

So be sure that the characters you select, are the ones you have confidence in to use throughout the duration of the season.

2.2 - Choosing between your main and secondary
    • Once matches are posted up, you must post in the Match Schedule thread which character(main/secondary) you will use before Monday 930pm.
      • If you fail to post before this time, you can only pick your main character for this week.
    • You must use only one character(main/secondary) for the entirety of a set.
    2.3 - Blind Picks
    • If you are worried about your opponent counter-picking your counter-pick. You'll need to post in the Match Schedule thread requesting a Blind Pick and which match it is for. You and your opponent must both PM me before the Monday 930PM deadline the character(s) you'll be using for the match. Once both players have pmed me their characters, I'll forward those characters to their opponents the next day.

[+] 4.0 - XBL League specific rules
4.0 - XBL League specific rules

  • [Updated]4.1 - Arranging/Check-in for Matches
    • The matches schedule will be updated every Monday of the week and your match must be completed before Sunday 9:30pm
    • [Updated]Once you have seen who your opponent is, you must post/"Check-In" in the Match Schedule thread before Wednesday, 9:30pm[/b] to confirm you've seen who your opponent is. If you do not post in the Match Schedule thread or PM myself or JB before the deadline, it is assumed you are not able to complete your match for the week and you'll be DQed with the win going to your opponent.
    • You must arrange a time/day with your opponent as soon as possible. PMing, phone text msg or/and XBL pm your opponent are all acceptable methods of communicating to your opponent.
    • If your set has not been completed before Sunday it will result in a No Show with your opponent awarded the win. [/color]
    • If it is your 2nd time failing to check-in and/or complete your set before the Sunday deadline for that particular League, you will be sign-out of it.
    • If you are having difficulties with contacting your opponent, you must post on Sunday what arrangements were made, either via pm or in the Match Schedule thread.
  • 4.2 - Button checks and Poor connections/Laggy matches
We recommend before you begin your set that you have at least 1 match to determine the quality of the connection. Both players must then decide on whether the connection is suitable or not. If it is found that your match is laggy in any way, these steps must be taken before the match is abandoned and called off as a draw.
    • Each player is responsible for the quality of the connection. Ensure that all/any wireless device is disabled and any activity that requires internet access(except for XBL of course...) is minimised and at best, turned off.
    • Ensure that your connection from your Xbox 360 to your modem/router is a wired ethernet cable and not wireless.
    • Each player tests the connection as host, and check if there's any difference while running the match.
If the above steps have not improved the connection of your match, your match will qualify as a Draw.
    • [Updated][For All Games]All button checks must be done on Training Stage with 3 Rounds to complete. A player can decide to not button check past Round 1 if they are satisfied with the connection.

Round 1:Player 1 side is permitted to complete combos to test the connection, player 2 side must not press any buttons or move at this time. Player 1 side must not kill their opponent when performing their button checks. Once the Player 1 side has reduced their opponent life bar to as low as possible without killing, then it is the Player 2 side's turn to perform combos to test the connection. At this point the Player 2 side can kill his opponent.

Round 2:Once the next round commence, it'll be the Player 2 side's turn to start first and reduce their opponent's life bar down similar to what Player 1 side had done in Round 1.

Round 3: Repeat steps in Round 1.

Anyone found to be intentionally lagging a match will be automatically Signed Out indefinitely.
  • [Updated]4.3 - Character Selection in a match(For UMVC3 Only
    • Both players choose which character(s) they want.
    • The player who won the last Game is required to keep the same character(s) or order of characters for the next Game.
    • The player who lost the last Game is allowed to choose whatever character(s) or character order he desires.
    • Penalty for changing character in a set
If player A has won a game against player B and then player A changes their character(s), player A is disqualified and that game(not set) will be awarded to player B. Both players must then return to the character select screen. Player A must pick the character(s) they won with before changing, while player B has the option to change their character again.
These rules apply only to UMVC3
  • 4.4 - Eligibility - This League is for NZ, only.

  • 4.5 - Points, Sets Record - Win/Lost/Draw and Games Record - Wins/Loses/Draw
    Win = 4 points

No Show Win = 4 points - 1 D in Sets and 1 game in NSW column of Games Record.
    • If the opponent no shows, the person who has followed rules 4.1 will be awarded 4 points, a D for the set and 1 game in NSW column of Games Record.
    • If a player posts that he/she forfeits the match, their opponent will be awarded 4 points, a D for the set and 1 game in NSW column of Games Record.

Disqualification Win = 4 points - 1 D in Sets and 1 game in DQW column of Games Record.
    • If your opponent has been Disqualified, you will be awarded 4 points, a D for the set and 1 game in DQW column of Games Record.

BYE = 4 points - a B in Sets, 1 game in BYE column of Games Record.
    • As I mentioned in the S4 Pre-season thread, there will be byes this season to deal with the uneven numbers. To determine who gets a BYE, is based on how high you placed in the previous season. So if you won the title, you will be the first given a bye once the player numbers are uneven. If it continues to remain uneven, the next player to be given a bye will be whoever finished 2nd. And the week after that, will be the 3rd placed finisher all the way down to last place or whoever did not compete in the previous season.

If you have been given a bye, you'll be awarded a B in Sets, 1 game in BYE column of Games Record.

This seemed to be the fairest solution compared to randomising the byes.

    Lost 4/5 in ft5 = 2 points
    Lost = 1 point

Draw = 2 points - 1 Draw in Sets and Games Record.
    • 2 points - after both players agree the net connection is too poor to complete their set (UMVC3 is not included).

No Show = 0 point - a D in Sets and 1 game in NS column of Games Record.
    • For player(s) who no show. Player(s) will be automatically Signed Out if they no show 2 times in a season. Player(s) who forfeit their match will be awarded no points while their opponent is awarded 4 points. This will be recorded as a D set and a NS in the Games Record.

Disqualification = 0 points - 1 D in Sets and 1 game in DQL column of Games Record.
    • If you have been Disqualified, you will be awarded 0 points, a D for the set and 1 game in DQL column of Games Record. A 2nd DQ for the season will result in your being signed-out from that League.
