OK well coming now, might be a little late.

Yeah I logged in last night to get it lol. Practiced some Pandora combos then went back to marvel.
Rolento patch isn't coming out until at least next month they said lol. I think in terms of tournament sake, if the glitch gets activated, the Rolento player automatically forfeits that game.

Yeah, Daniel from Welly got knocked out in TTT2 at SS to a Christie/Eddy player. That's pretty dumb lol. But I have heard in the past that there a couple slight differences between Eddy and Christie's hitboxes. I think Eddy has longer arms or something.

When I played on it yesterday, the screen freeze was gone on P2 and I didn't notice the lag anymore, plus the ratio was fixed. Might be fixed. How much are those new Tekken cards anyway?

Also, from what I hear TTT2 is more popular at the imax timeout. So if you want to play that with people and there's no one at TZ, should just head up there.

Went down to TZ today. Someone was playing TTT2 and some other guy was laughing at him play (dude was a masher). He jumped on landed some mean juggle straight away, then got raped. Still laughing half way through, until he lost and rematched then got to the last round. Had the serious face on. Still lost. Left the building with his mate. He wasn't any good, he just knew a basic launcher combo, was just laughing every time the guy did something scrubby. Shame bitch.

Lol whatever.

Didn't manage to get any of the 2 6v6 money matches we had, I know Euan recorded a couple on his iPad and a few guys on the other teams recorded some.

Alright I'm pretty salty from my shitty AE performance at SS, so I will definitely be there to win AE.

Yeah man those 10 hit combos (strings) are way cooler than supers.

Besides you did call me out to KOF so you could body me at a game So I guess our game was slightly more of a formal than a casual.

And if beating people doing random fullscreen supers counts as being the best, then I'm clearly the best at Tekken 3.

In terms of tournament:

SFxT:
Made top 32. Beat everyone in my pool minus Gamerbee pretty comfortably I'd say. Was about to play Gamerbee on stream, but we ended up not. I was pretty lucky tbh, cause he gave me the biggest rape train ever. Good on him for winning though.
As soon as I got out of pools I lost my next match to kazzee, can't remember who he was using, but he had people cheering for him and I didn't Haha but all good it's only poo poo x timeout.

UMVC3:
Got to winner's final in my pool vs DJ Huoshen. Man that was so close, all three games. I won the first (iirc it was thanks to DPh, mighta been non-xfactor DPh), then coming to the second he made some bad drops and I think I was having a dark wesker comeback (heard some Huoshen dick rider in the back saying how gay my team was since if Phoenix dies I still get dark wesker, made me chuckle). X-factor was out and I landed a hit on Taskmaster, did the basic bread and butter, went to dash H into cobra strike into level 3, but missed the H. I think it may have killed but wasn't 100% sure.
Next game I can't remember well, but I was close to having a Haggar comeback and I think I lost to a random shield skills (though he had x factor left). I wish that was recorded, cause he has such godlike footsies.

Then I won my next match against K3nPachii to qualify (apparently the dude used to live in New Lynn a long long time ago, Waitakere represent) for top 32.

Next match was against some guy who had captain america on his team. I went into the first game and realised half way through that I had accidentally set my Light button to Medium... Ended up getting dark phoenix and not being able to mash jab and lost lol. Fixed the buttons and then won the next 2 games straight.

Now I had to play Blackout (Ajith from Wellington). Not much to say, he outplayed me on the day and took the win he deserved. I miscalculated your position, but you did actually get top 16 so congrats heaps man.

AE:
I had to play as soon as I got knocked out of marvel. I was a bit pissed off so I felt bad for my opponents, I looked kinda mad.

First guy is some Sagat masher, mashing DP everywhere, especially on safe jumps and not FADCing. He still took a round off of me, so I knew I was way off form for AE.
Next game, dude picks Seth, so I'm a bit worried. Doesn't really know what he's doing and I win pretty comfortably.
Next guy is xyz from Canada (didn't know at the time). He picked Guy and we were playing and I thought he was worse than Lenny's. Mashing EX tatsu now and then, no knowledge of OS or even backdash. So I lost to him, beat someone else in loser's then lost to him in loser's final in my pool. Was kinda pissed, but oh well. I was still really enjoying the event and there was still heaps to do.

Last minute entered 3s in hopes of playing one of the gods in round 1 just to play them and get smashed.

Played some random Oro guy who obviously knew how to play but I thought he was pretty bad. He beat my Chun 2-1 (ok yeah whatever easy matchup, I don't know it lol), but then managed to build my way back up to loser's final in the pool, playing lots of other bad players (I'm bad as well) and winning a Chun mirror. Had to play the Oro player again, he picked Yang this time and raped me. If I won that, I woulda made top 16.

Other than the tournament as I've already said I had 6 money matches with internationals. All were $20 first to 4 and all on video to be uploaded eventually.

I lost 4-3 to Knives (was 3-1 up and could say I choked, but he adapted really well with such solid gameplay, every assist call was perfect).

Then I lost 4-2 to Filipino Champ (though he picked Doom/Dorm/Sent against me, either cause he wasn't too fussed or didn't want a Phoenix mirror).

Lost 4-2 to Airtola (tbh I thought the guy wasn't very good and was just lucky with Hulk, but man everything he did was so tight, he really got my respect as a top player after that)

On Saturday I played Marlinpie and lost 4-2 as usual. I felt like I could block his mixups pretty well even though I lacked the matchup experience (completely forgot burn kick is overhead in this game and never seen him use vipers overhead in marvel, but my SF4 reactions made me block that move lol) and forgot how good slowdown is against dark phoenix.

I then saw this guy beat Airtola in a Money Match. So I asked him his name and he told me he was Don D (made me remember he's the guy who won the UK qualifier). Challenged him to a money match (he plays Wolverine/Wesker/Trish). Beat him 4-1, he was just not very good against Haggar I feel, plus he didn't mix Phoenix up well enough I don't think.

Justin Wong had said during the day that he wanted some Money Matches and for some reason I was the only one around who was keen enough to say yes (though I think jsculls really wanted to play him as well). We couldn't get onto a setup and both had matches so we postponed it. Told him at the end of the day "I'm going to money match you tomorrow!" and he said "OK". So I got a chance on Sunday morning and got to play him.
He went straight to Wolverine and I was thinking holy shit I get to play his main team. Started off pretty shaky, but I pulled it back a bit. Looking back on it now, there are lots of things I coulda done better. I woulda killed his akuma at the end if I did the proper pipe combo, shoulda done RFF super after the lariat and after I supered I went to command grab him, but instead I got super jump L (Wong factor maybe lol). But I was just so stoked I finally got to play JUSTIN WONG and being able to hold my own was a big bonus.

Outside the event, we walked around the city a bit, was pretty much like Auckland or more like Wellington, but instead just much, much bigger. We went to this really flash area called Crown which had the Crown hotel and 100 buildings around it owned by the same place. Went into the arcade and it was so flash looking. It was about as big as the Bugis Arcade in Singapore, probably twice the size of yifans at least? Everything was $2 a game though, including AE and even Mario Kart and Daytona USA 1 (which had 8 machines that shook, but half of them were broken or were a bit stuffed). But it was really fancy looking.
Didn't really see any "tourist attractions" but did have a good walk around the city.
