Bleh, wasnt going over to do well, but ended up doing better than I could of hoped for, but still come out with my fair share of regrets. Thats life with fighting games I guess.
Still, made me realize I could of done alot better if I was just a little more serious or prepared.

Missed out on top8 in singles and my spot tomorrow by losing to Shang Tsung, a very respectable Bison player I've played many times before. Has beaten CrazyFreeRider and Somniac in money matches, I'm not sure about Brodsta but he's up there.
Anywho.. I don't go to OZ to get into top 8's... I'm like dreaming of top32 and bonering about top 16, I really just go to meet and re-meet everybody, catch up and get heaps of games with the best players I can find. So everything went better than expected in singles.. literally everything.
I lost to Shang Tsung M.Bison and AfterDeathLive zangief, I play him alot so he's like a training partner, having said that I have lost to him in Aussie tournaments before so it's nothing new really... I had to beat so many good players to get out of losers haha.. Couldnt believe I lasted as long as I did. So many were final round of final game too.. ero_oyaji akuma... some REALLY good fei longs.. good guy.. good cammy... Cant remember them all but shout outs to all I played.

Teams... what can I say. I played with some very close friends of mine and in the first game they both lost and I had to Chun mirror my way out to stay in winners.. So I did that...
And then we OCV'd toxy, somniac, Akira. And then we just kept on winning, all of us were relied on and all of us played our games, felt ourselves and got realllllly fucking hype hahahaha. We dont give a fuck what people think, we just have a good time, play and hey.. we fucking win too sometimes which is good fun.
So yeh, we choked a little bit when we had to replay everybody on the stream from the winnders finals and stuff or whatever it was.. but still I have some vids.. What more could you want besides the hype and memories. It was fucking good.
So I think we ended up coming somewhere between 3rd and 5th for teams, there was no time to pay attention to brackets and shit really so I'm not too sure how it all went down.

Fucking fun times though, looking forward to tomorrow too.

Shot bro, congrats. Sounds like you had a mean time. Shang Tsung is the dude who almost beat Tokido at SS. He plays the most fucked up Bison ever, I hate playing against him online lol. ADL is a beast but it's still at least 7-3 Chun haha (now that I think about it, Chun lost df+lk, but gief lost EX GH knockdowns).

Yeh its harder in AE, ex GH knockdowns were good for Chun because it meant giefs did more stupid safejumps we could beat easily lol. I preferred Vanilla Chun for the gief matchup, everything since has just felt like I lack the required matchup exp.
And ya Shang has now become the guy who beat everybody and placed second only to Akira haha.. Beat Toxy etc, really solid player and I have ZERO sodium for losing to him haha.

Today was really fun too, got to sit on Ultimate marvel for like 2-3 hours just playing my new team. I've got a feel for marvel now and it is pretty fun, but I would never have put time into the current version. Just doesn't appeal to me.

I'm pretty exhausted. I'll make a topic and do a full write up probably within a week or two. Plenty of footage \ photos \ stories etc.

And omg.. poor Sol \ Sakura.. Mason I really hope you didn't see what happened.. It was awful to watch.. like, worse than awful, really really unhappy moment..

No I didn't see it lol. I did tune in shortly yesterday and saw a couple people playing SFxT. One guy on the left was using Chun/Poison. I thought wow these guys are shit and then I saw this chun doing some instant stomps and fireballs to legs to build meter and was like hmmm that looks familiar. But fair enough on your first try of the game haha. When the other guy would activate Pandora and then you just did it straight after was hilarious. Pandora isn't looking very good atm.

And yeah Chun was fun in that game, but her lightning legs is now QCF any kick so its very different playstyle.
I was playing EXC355UM in that match since we were both not experienced haha. But having said that it was still an epic grudge money match which Ali was confident he would win.

Yeah I watched that match today. Lol... I see why his name is "Sol T." Though any Sakura player knows that can happen and when he won the first game I was pretty skeptical about that hitting. Akira was doing the worst block strings when Sol had 3+bars, he coulda easily EX srked through for wins in heaps of rounds.

Edit: Oh lol, looking back he only got the one hit in the first game as well, it was enough to kill though.

Needless to say I was pretty gutted being both a massive Sakura AND Sol fanboy. That would be me attempting to get the man seated in time haha.. dramatic stuff but pretty awful to have to watch really =\
